    Motivação, ansiedade, depressão e stress nos atletas universitários em tempos de restrições sanitárias provocadas pela pandemia da Covida 19

    Resumo

    Desde 2020, quando a pandemia começou no Chile, nenhuma actividade presencial foi levada a cabo em qualquer centro universitário. Neste contexto, surge a necessidade de conhecer o estado das variáveis acima mencionadas nos atletas universitários, uma vez que o novo processo de adaptação à actividade presencial, juntamente com a impossibilidade de ter objectivos competitivos, é um problema a ser resolvido. O objectivo do estudo é avaliar as variáveis de motivação, ansiedade, stress e depressão nos desportistas universitários activos quando regressam ao regresso às actividades presenciais académicas e desportivas, bem como descobrir se existe uma relação entre a motivação e as outras. A metodologia utilizada é quantitativa, com um desenho transversal exploratório, com a participação de 135 sujeitos. Os resultados apresentados neste estudo mostram através do coeficiente de correlação de Spearman entre motivação com depressão (<.001) e ansiedade (<.001), embora não com stress (<.079), utilizando um p-valor de 0,05. Conclui-se que, embora a relação seja baixa (ansiedade rho de Spearman <.339, depressão <.289 e stress <.152), é também evidente na amostra um elevado grau de auto-determinação na motivação (M 5.76) e como esta tem uma relação favorável com as outras variáveis do estudo, que apresentam a pontuação de um estado mental estável na população de atletas durante o regresso aos desportos universitários e actividades académicas.
